Steve boasts over 30 years of high-tech marketing experience and a track record of success. As the CEO of CyberEdge, he leads the company's sales, marketing, and consulting operations, while also serving as Chief Analyst for its custom research services. Passionate about cybersecurity, Steve holds a CISSP certification from ISC2, has authored more than a dozen security-focused books, contributes articles to Forbes Magazine, and speaks frequently at conferences and in webinars.
Before founding CyberEdge in 2012, Steve was head of products at Sourcefire (acquired by Cisco), helping lead the company to a successful IPO and top leadership position in the Gartner IPS Magic Quadrant. Earlier in his career, Steve was head of marketing at Oblicore (acquired by CA), and was among the first 100 employees at Citrix, helping to grow Citrix's revenue from $15 million to $600 million in just six years.
Steve holds BS and MBA degrees from George Mason University. Outside of work, he cherishes time with his two daughters and enjoys boating, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, and competing in the World Series of Poker and the World Poker Tour.
Scott has over 25 years of experience in the research, consulting, and media industries. In his role as one of CyberEdge’s veteran sales executives, Scott is responsible for demand generation, customer acquisition, and account management – helping to drive positive outcomes for our cybersecurity vendor clients.
Prior to CyberEdge, Scott held a variety of senior sales, marketing, and business development roles at companies like Gallup, TDWI, and Ventana Research. Scott is passionate about helping his clients grow by providing intelligent ideas and world-class support.
Scott holds a bachelor's degree from Syracuse University. When not working, he enjoys kayak fishing with his son, golfing, and spending time with his shelter dog, Stella.
Andy has over 25 years of sales experience in the technology sector focusing on research, consulting and media programs. In his role as one of CyberEdge’s veteran sales executives, Scott is responsible for demand generation, customer acquisition, and account management – helping to drive positive outcomes for our cybersecurity vendor clients.
Prior to CyberEdge, Andy held a variety of senior sales and business development roles at companies like Gartner, SANS Institute, and ISC2. Andy is passionate about listening and learning about his clients’ needs and then adding value by providing a consultative approach for stimulating his clients’ growth.
Andy holds a bachelor’s degree from Utica College. When not working, Andy enjoys spending time with his family and friends with plenty of boating and beach time. Andy enjoys volunteering for many local agencies like, Habitat for Humanity, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and other facilities promoting mental health awareness.
Jon has over 25 years of marketing experience with software, computer, and IT services companies. As a Managing Consultant at CyberEdge, he oversees a variety of client projects featuring multiple CyberEdge consultants, while also serving as the primary consultant for content creation, custom research, and publishing projects, as well. As a Senior Analyst, Jon is co-author of CyberEdge’s award-winning Cyberthreat Defense Report and an available author of CyberEdge survey reports and analyst reports.
Prior to CyberEdge, Jon held a variety of product marketing, product management, and competitive analysis positions at both start-ups and global Fortune 500 companies, including Fiberlink Communications, Astaro, Nortel Networks, Wang Software, and Unisys.
Jon has spoken at security conferences and has been published in numerous IT industry periodicals. He contributes to industry organizations, having served on the board of directors of Agile New England and the ASP Industry Consortium. He has a BA from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. When he’s not working, Jon enjoys spending time with his family and traveling, as well as reading historic novels.
Richard is widely regarded as a pillar of the IT security industry with over 30 years of experience. As a Senior Analyst with CyberEdge, he authors client-sponsored Key Economic Impact (KEI) Reports and survey reports. Simultaneously, he is Chief Research Analyst for IT-Harvest, the firm he founded in 2005 to cover the 3,700+ vendors that make up the IT security industry.
Richard has presented on cybersecurity topics in 32 countries on six continents. He was a lecturer at Charles Sturt University in Australia. He is the author of Surviving Cyberwar and There Will Be Cyberwar, a Washington Post Best Seller.
Richard was previously Chief Strategy Officer for Blancco Technology Group, the Chief Marketing Officer for Fortinet, and Vice President of Threat Research at Webroot (acquired by OpenText). Prior to that, he was VP of Research at Gartner. He holds a B.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan and an M.A. degree in War in the Modern World from King’s College, London.
Tony has worked in and written about the technology and cybersecurity sectors for over 20 years. In his role as Managing Editor of Security Buzz, a cybersecurity news site owned and operated by CyberEdge, he oversees a staff of journalists helping to keep readers apprised of the latest developments and innovations in the cybersecurity industry.
Prior to joining CyberEdge, Tony was the first Managing Editor at Security Boulevard and has contributed countless blogs, podcasts, and articles to CSO, Forbes, TechTarget, PCWorld, and other IT media outlets. Tony has also held senior content marketing roles at Tenable, Alert Logic, Cybereason, and Reveald.
Tony is passionate about cybersecurity. He has achieved both CISSP and ISSAP certifications from ISC2 and was recognized by Microsoft as an MVP for Windows and Windows Security for 11 consecutive years.
When he’s not working, Tony loves spending time with his wife, 7 kids, 4 dogs, 7 cats, his pot-bellied pig, and his sulcata tortoise. He also enjoys playing the guitar and playing golf.
Suzanne brings over 30 years of marketing experience with software companies. As Senior Content Marketing Manager at CyberEdge, she drives the development, management, and execution of a focused content strategy to support CyberEdge’s brand and corporate programs.
Prior to CyberEdge, Suzanne founded SPK Communications, helping a diverse set of international companies to build their brands, relaunch their organizations, and establish a presence in the U.S. marketplace. Prior to launching her business, Suzanne held executive-level positions with a variety of technology organizations. She has specialized in cybersecurity marketing, media/analyst relations, and digital communications for more than two decades.
Suzanne is the recipient of the 2018 Women in Technology Small Business/Entrepreneur Leadership Award and is a founding member and former chairperson of the Women in Technology Cybersecurity Special Interest Group. She has a BA degree from State University of New York at Albany and an MBA degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. When she’s not working, Suzanne enjoys spy, crime, and science fiction movies and novels.
Krissy has nearly 20 years of high-tech marketing experience, with nearly half of her time spent marketing high-tech SaaS products. At CyberEdge, she helps customers launch campaigns through content syndication and webinar channels to reach their lead generation goals.
Krissy has previously held marketing leadership roles at companies like Fastly, Elastic, and Neustar and is the Founder of Tricrest Growth Advisors LLC, a growth marketing consulting firm.
A Virginia Tech graduate with a BA in Communications, she's fueled by a passion for marketing and finds joy in exploring the world with her husband and two children, while nurturing her soul through music, photography, and Formula 1.
Colleen is a globally recognized senior creative and design manager with over 25 years of experience spearheading the complete design process, from conceptualization to delivery. Colleen is an expert at shaping client design projects for CyberEdge, and through interdepartmental collaboration, she customizes intelligent and creative solutions to complex ideas that elevate client deliverables.
Before joining CyberEdge, Colleen spent 20 years at Gartner, the technology research and consulting firm based in Stamford, CT. During her tenure, she worked with multiple teams, including in-house creative, marketing, sales, research, and conferences. In addition, she maintained various freelance projects, providing support to small businesses and non-profit organizations.
Colleen has a bachelor’s degree in science illustration from Arcadia University. When she is not working with clients to push the boundaries of creative visuals, she enjoys developing culinary masterpieces in the kitchen.
Jay has over 40 years of experience in representing business entities in their governance, compliance, and strategic planning matters. Jay has a particular focus on issues concerning business taxation. Formerly a partner in a national law firm, Jay is currently Of Counsel to the South Florida firm of Assouline & Berlow, P.A.. Jay has also been an Adjunct Professor of Law at IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Jay obtained his undergraduate degree in 1975 from Georgetown University School of Foreign Service and his J.D. in 1978 from Washington University (St. Louis). He received his C.P.A. from the University of Illinois while in law school. Also, during law school he clerked for Judge Robert Dowd of the Missouri Court of Appeals. From 1996 through 2005, Jay served as a commissioner of the City of Aventura, Florida.
John is a media, events, and performance marketing expert and advisor with over 20 years leading sales, revenue, client success, and product development teams for B2B technology media, publishing, research and events businesses. Most recently serving as the global head of sales for Future B2B, John has also held leadership roles and driven significant growth for market leaders IDG (now Foundry), InformaTech, and Forrester Research.
I his role of Strategic Advisor, John provides valuable counsel to CyberEdge with regard to growth strategies. John helps shape CyberEdge’s current and future service packaging, service delivery, messaging, go-to-market strategies, and more.
Prior to serving CyberEdge, John held critical roles in scaling and exiting multiple integrated media start-ups developing sales and revenue teams that have expert understanding of the priorities of B2B marketers. John's experience centers mainly on IT and B2B tech sector with specific expertise in cybersecurity, mobile/telecom, cloud, AI, and customer experience.
A graduate of Bryant University, John has also served as strategic consultant and advisor on multiple acquisitions, and to B2B media and marketing services companies in start-up / scale-up mode.
